Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Unveils New Progress Tour Schedule, Promises ₹1000 Crore In Projects Across 13 Districts From February 5-21.

A new schedule has been released for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Pragati Yatra, which will cover 13 districts from February 5 to February 21. The Chief Minister is set to arrive in Munger on February 5 during the fourth phase of this journey.

Major Projects and Developments

During this visit, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will unveil several significant projects worth ₹1000 crores. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation for schemes totaling ₹450 crores. According to Munger District Magistrate Avnish Kumar Singh, the Chief Minister will first visit Tarapur in Munger, where he will explore the local pond, the Jeevika Didi Library, and the Panchayat in Rangaon under Dhobai Panchayat. He is expected to introduce various initiatives for the residents of these areas.

Additionally, two ring roads will be announced in Tarapur at a cost of ₹100 crores. An ambitious plan to transport water from the Sultanganj Ganga to Kharagpur Lake via Raipur will also be revealed, with the project estimated to cost ₹500 crores.

Tourism and Infrastructure Developments

Following his visit to Tarapur, the Chief Minister will initiate projects to develop Rishikund as a tourist destination. The district administration has prepared a Detailed Project Report (DPR) of ₹12.22 crores for this purpose. After that, he will inaugurate a sports ground in Nauvagarhi and then proceed to Chadoun village, where he will review stalls set up by Jeevika Didi, representing 16 departments of the district.

In Chadoun, the Chief Minister will inaugurate a model hospital worth ₹32 crores, along with the Rajarani pond and a DPRC building costing ₹6.5 crores. Furthermore, a direct road connection will be established from the Sri Krishna Setu approach path on the Ganges to the world-renowned Yoga University, Yogashram, with construction costs amounting to ₹115 crores.

Munger’s Irrigation Project

A significant irrigation project has also been planned for Munger district, involving the lifting of Ganga water from Sultanganj to Kharagpur Lake. This project is expected to cost around ₹500 crores, and the Chief Minister will present these major initiatives as gifts to the people of Munger. Additionally, there may be announcements regarding the beautification of the Ganga Ghat, which holds religious significance for the community.
