LPG Price 1 Feb 2025
Today, just before the budget on 1 February, there is some relief for consumers of LPG cylinders. The price of the LPG cylinder has decreased slightly. However, this reduction of Rs 7 applies only to the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder. There has been no change in the price of the domestic gas cylinder, which is 14 kg, since 1 August 2024.
According to the latest rates, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi is now Rs 1797, down from Rs 1804 in January. In Kolkata, the price has decreased to Rs 1907 from Rs 1911. In Mumbai, the price is now Rs 1749.50, compared to Rs 1756 in January. The price of the 19 kg blue cylinder has also changed in Kolkata, now costing Rs 1959.50 instead of Rs 1966.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Price
There is no change in the price of the domestic LPG cylinder even on budget day 2025. The 14 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi remains priced at Rs 803, the same as since August 1. In Lucknow, this cylinder costs Rs 840.50, while the 19 kg commercial cylinder is priced at Rs 1918. In Kolkata, the 14 kg cylinder is available for Rs 829, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.
LPG Rate Trend on Budget Day
On budget day, the prices for commercial LPG cylinders were as follows: in Delhi, it was Rs 1769.50; in Kolkata, Rs 1887; in Mumbai, Rs 1723.50; and in Chennai, Rs 1937. The price of the 19 kg cylinder increased by Rs 14 on that day.
Looking back at the budget day in 2023, the commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi was priced at Rs 1769.00, Kolkata at Rs 1869, Mumbai at Rs 1721, and Chennai at Rs 1917, with no changes in rates that day.
In 2022, commercial cylinders were cheaper on budget day. On 1 February 2022, the price of a 19 kg cylinder in Delhi was Rs 1907, down from Rs 1998.50, and in Kolkata, it decreased from Rs 2076 to Rs 1987.
