Amrit Udyan to Open for Public

The beautiful Amrit Udyan of Rashtrapati Bhavan will welcome visitors from February 2. President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Amrit Udyan festival on February 1, 2025. This garden festival will be open until March 31, and visitors can explore the garden six days a week, except on Mondays.

Visitor Information

For the convenience of visitors, a free shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to Amrit Udyan, running between 9:30 AM and 5 PM. All visitors are required to enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

What to See

During their visit, guests can enjoy attractions such as the Bonsai Garden, Musical Fountain, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. A food court will be available for visitors to enjoy refreshments. The garden will be open for tours from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Registration Details

Visitors can register online on the Rashtrapati Bhavan website or at the facility counter and self-service kiosk near Gate No. 12. Allowed items include mobile phones, electronic keys, purses, handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants.

Special Days for Specific Groups

Amrit Udyan will have special opening days for specific categories:

  • February 22 – For disabled persons
  • February 23 – For defense, paramilitary, and police personnel
  • March 1 – For self-help groups of women and tribal women
  • March 5 – For children of orphans

Art and Culture at Bharat Rang Mahotsav

The Bharat Rang Mahotsav event showcased vibrant performances on its fourth day, with Oriya artists presenting the “Mana Manthan Mayurbhanj Chhau” folk dance. The performance depicted six obstacles of consciousness: desire, anger, greed, ego, attachment, and jealousy. The dance drama was authored by Ramani Ranjan Mohta and directed by Haripada Mahant.

More Performances

Students from the National School of Drama also showcased various folk art styles through dance and drama on an open platform. Additionally, two street plays were performed, including a presentation by Kalindi College addressing the impact of offline and online betting addiction on society.
