Delhi NCR Weather Update
This January has been the hottest month in Delhi in the last six years. The average maximum temperature recorded from January 1 to 30 was 20.7 degrees Celsius, while the average minimum temperature was 8.4 degrees Celsius.
As February begins, dense fog has settled in areas like Faridabad, Noida, Rewari, and Gurugram, including the capital city, Delhi. On Saturday morning, Gurugram experienced visibility dropping to less than 50 meters due to the fog. After enjoying good sunlight for nearly two weeks, the weather took a sudden turn, bringing back the cold.
The fog has affected major roads, including the Delhi-Jaipur highway, Sohna Road, and Dwarka Expressway, causing vehicles to move slowly and leading to traffic jams due to low visibility.
The Meteorological Department has indicated that light drizzle and rain are expected over the next three days, which may cause a further drop in temperatures.
