Efforts to Ease Traffic Around India Expo Mart

There are ongoing efforts to tackle the traffic jams near the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The road connecting NASA parking to LG Golchakkar, which is currently a four-lane road, will be expanded to six lanes. This project is expected to cost around 6 crore rupees and has received initial approval from the CEO.

Increased Traffic Due to Events

The India Expo Mart hosts various national and international events, which often lead to traffic congestion. With the upcoming Noida Airport, more events are anticipated at the Expo Mart, prompting the need for road expansion.

Widening of NASA Parking Golchakkar Roads

Rajesh Kumar Nim, a senior manager at the Greater Noida Authority, mentioned that the roads surrounding NASA parking Golchakkar will be widened to four lanes, with plans to potentially make it five lanes in order to prevent future traffic jams. This project will require an investment of 7.50 crore rupees for the construction of approximately 1500 meters of road in the area.

Direct Connection to Noida

A new road is also being constructed alongside the bridge over the Hindon River to directly connect LG Golchakkar to Sectors 145 and 146 in Noida. This road will also have six lanes.

Plans for Foot Overbridges

Additionally, two foot overbridges (FOBs) will be built at the Sector-37 crossing in Noida. The Noida Authority is currently conducting a study to determine the best locations for these bridges. The study will focus on ensuring safe usage by considering the necessary height to avoid conflicts with flyover and metro operations. Once the study is completed, tenders will be issued for the construction. Furthermore, Chhijarasi Road will also be widened by two feet to facilitate smoother entry for vehicles coming into Noida from NH-9.
