The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 kicked off on January 17, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the event. On the very first day, the spotlight was on Hyundai’s Creta Electric, but MG Motors stole the show by unveiling its much-anticipated Cyberster electric sports car. Battery and Range of MG Cyberster
The MG Cyberster holds the title of India’s first electric sports car, with bookings set to begin in March 2025. Equipped with a powerful 77kWh battery, this vehicle boasts an impressive range of up to 580 kilometers on a single charge. Under the hood, it features two electric motors that deliver a combined power of 510 horsepower and a torque of 725Nm. One of the most thrilling aspects of this car is its acceleration, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, outpacing many conventional petrol supercars.
Design and Features
Cyberster’s design is a true standout, featuring a perfect 50:50 weight distribution that enhances its handling and driving pleasure. This stylish roadster is designed for two passengers and comes with a soft top and eye-catching scissor doors, which are equipped with radar sensors and anti-pinch technology to cater to the Indian market. Inside, the car impresses with a large touchscreen and a futuristic steering wheel that add a touch of modern luxury. MG Motors plans to launch this car under its new MG Select retail chain and is also set to open 12 premium centers across India this year.
