Nikita Singhania, along with her mother Nisha and brother Anurag, has been arrested by the Bengaluru Police in connection with the tragic suicide of Atul Subhash. Nikita was apprehended in Gurugram, while Nisha and Anurag were taken into custody in Allahabad.
The police acted swiftly after receiving information about their whereabouts. All three were subsequently presented in court, where they were remanded to judicial custody. This case has garnered significant attention, given the serious accusations made against them.
The Circumstances Surrounding Atul’s Death
Atul Subhash tragically took his own life by hanging at his flat in Bengaluru on December 9. Before his death, he recorded a video over an hour long, stating that five individuals were responsible for his despair, naming his wife Nikita, mother-in-law Nisha, brother-in-law Anurag, uncle Sushil, and Judge Rita Kaushik.
He claimed he had faced continuous torment for years, leading him to view death as his only escape. Alongside the video, Atul left behind a 24-page suicide note detailing his struggles, including allegations of false accusations and financial demands from his wife.
Allegations and Family Struggles
In his suicide note, Atul revealed that he was making a decent income but felt oppressed by his wife, who had taken their son and filed numerous fake cases against him. He expressed frustration over the court’s decisions, claiming that the judge favored his wife and dismissed his evidence.
Atul’s father, Pawan Modi, also shared his son’s ordeal, highlighting the apparent disregard for legal norms by those involved in their family disputes. The ongoing search for Nikita’s uncle, Sushil, adds another layer of complexity to this already distressing situation, as the police continue their investigation.
