Skoda Launches Kaylak Compact SUV

Skoda recently introduced the Kaylak compact SUV in India, priced from Rs 7.89 lakh ex-showroom. Bookings will commence on December 2, but a special Kaylak Club is already offering early benefits, including a 25% discount on the booking amount and priority booking access.

Features of the Kaylak

Deliveries are expected to begin on January 27, 2025. The SUV will be featured at the upcoming 2025 India Mobility Expo and competes with Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Notable features include dual digital screens, ambient lighting, a 6-speaker sound system, and advanced safety features like 6 airbags and ABS with EBD.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Kaylak is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine delivering 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, with options for a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. This launch marks Skoda’s return to the sub-10 lakh segment after nearly a decade, positioning the Kaylak as a strong contender against rivals like Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
