PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme

The Indian government has introduced the ‘PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana’ as part of the 2024-25 budget. This initiative aims to provide subsidies for residential rooftop solar panel installations, enabling households to harness solar energy for electricity consumption.

300 Units Of Electricity Free

This scheme intends to offer 300 units of free electricity per month to one crore households, backed by a fund of ₹18,000 crore.

PM Surya Ghar Subsidy

The government will provide substantial subsidies for solar panel installations, covering up to ₹30,000 per kW for systems up to 2 kW and ₹18,000 per kW for systems up to 3 kW. The maximum subsidy for larger systems can reach ₹78,000.
