Aprilia’s Tuonos, known for their street fighter appeal, have traditionally mirrored the features of their sportbike counterparts. However, the latest model, the Tuono 457, breaks away with a distinctive new look that sets it apart.
New Headlight Design
The most notable change in the Tuono 457 is its refreshed headlight design. The bike now features twin projector lamps centrally stacked on a nose cowl, paired with V-shaped LED DRLs, enhancing its aggressive stance.
Design Updates
With a slightly revamped fuel tank, the Tuono 457’s capacity has been reduced to 12.7 liters. The design includes slimmer radiator cowls and an updated seat unit, though the uncomfortable pillion grab rail remains unchanged.
Performance Similarities
Powered by the same 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as the RS 457, the Tuono delivers 47.6 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Optional extras include a slipper clutch and two-way quickshifter.
Technology and Customization
The Tuono 457 is equipped with a five-inch color TFT dash for smartphone connectivity, ride-by-wire system, and multiple riding modes. Customers can further personalize their ride with various accessories. The expected launch in India is set for early 2025.
