Sahaj Solar Limited Announces New Subsidiary in Uganda

Sahaj Solar Limited has unveiled its new subsidiary, Sahaj Renewable Power Limited, based in Uganda. This entity will focus on solar energy generation, storage, distribution, and supply to a range of clients, including government bodies and industrial customers.

While the new subsidiary is yet to commence operations, Sahaj Solar retains a 75% stake in it. Importantly, the setup does not involve any related-party transactions and does not require governmental or regulatory approvals.

Recent Achievements and Projects

Recently, Sahaj Solar secured a contract with the Border Security Force (BSF) for two off-grid solar energy plants valued at approximately ₹15.54 crore. Additionally, the company is in talks with Clientech Solutions & Technologies to establish a 1.5 GW solar module production line, enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.

Sahaj Solar Limited operates a 100 MW solar PV module manufacturing facility in Gujarat and specializes in producing advanced solar modules for both domestic and international markets. With a market cap of ₹570 crore, the company boasts impressive financial metrics: a 53% return on equity and a 40% return on capital employed, reflecting its robust performance in the solar energy sector.
