Toyota Sales Surge in October 2024

Toyota India reported impressive domestic sales of 28,138 units in October, alongside 2,707 units exported. Year-to-date figures reflect a robust performance, with total sales reaching 193,468 units between April and September (FY2025), marking a 33% increase compared to 145,818 units during the same period in FY2023.

Production Capacity Boost

The automaker attributes this growth to enhanced production capacity, implemented through a three-shift operation at its Bidadi facility in Karnataka. Additionally, Toyota’s collaboration with Suzuki has yielded successful badge-engineered products that have become significant volume contributors, while the Innova and Fortuner models continue to enhance brand popularity and profitability.

Festive Season Impact

According to Sabree Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business, the festive season has positively influenced sales across the entire product range. The launch of models such as the Urban Cruiser Highrider and Festival Limited Editions has further driven demand. Special schemes, including extended warranties and attractive exchange offers, have also bolstered customer interest during this peak season.
