The motorcycle world is abuzz as Yamaha prepares to relaunch the iconic RX100 in January 2025. This modern iteration aims to blend nostalgia with cutting-edge technology, appealing to both loyal fans and new riders alike.

Launched in 1985, the RX100 quickly became a cultural icon in India, known for its lightweight design and exhilarating performance. Although production ceased in 1996 due to stringent emission norms, the RX100’s popularity endures, with many enthusiasts still cherishing the model.

Reimagining an Icon

The new RX100 is expected to feature a 98cc air-cooled engine, delivering around 11 PS of power and 10.39 Nm of torque, while achieving approximately 40 kmpl. This aims to balance its spirited heritage with modern efficiency.

Modern Design Meets Classic Charm

While retaining the classic silhouette, the new model will incorporate contemporary elements like alloy wheels and a digital instrument cluster, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Safety features, including dual-channel ABS, will also be included.
