Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up for the highly anticipated launch of the next-generation Dzire sunroof sedan on November 11.     • The car sports a larger, chrome-accented grille, complete with horizontal slats, giving it a bold front fascia.

    The new Dzire comes equipped with six airbags as standard, along with advanced safety features such as:
    • Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill-hold control.

Performance and Mileage

Built on the same HEARTECT platform as the new Swift, the Dzire shares the 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated Z-series petrol engine. This new engine delivers an output of 82 PS with a peak torque of 112 Nm, replacing the previous 4-cylinder K-Series unit. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT, ensuring a balanced mix of performance and efficiency.

According to the company, the petrol MT variant of the new Dzire is expected to deliver an impressive mileage of around 24.8 kmpl, while the petrol AMT variant may go up to 25.75 kmpl. Maruti Suzuki is also likely to introduce a CNG variant to cater to fuel-conscious customers.

 

Expected Pricing and Market Positioning

While the exact pricing will be revealed at launch, Maruti is expected to position the new Dzire competitively to maintain its dominance in the sedan segment.
