Greater Noida – The Yamuna Authority has received approval from the government for the development of Raya Heritage City, which will be spread across 735 acres in the notified area of the Yamuna region. The proposal will be submitted to the Uttar Pradesh Public Private Partnership Vigilance Committee (UP PPPVEC), the Chief Secretary, and the Cabinet for further action.

Project Overview

The development of Raya Heritage City aims to showcase the cultural heritage of Mathura and Vrindavan. An estimated investment of over ₹6300 crores will be made to bring this project to fruition. The city is strategically planned to be located along a proposed 6.9-kilometer greenfield expressway, which will directly connect to the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan, situated on the Yamuna Expressway at the 101-kilometer mark.

Integration with Urban Planning

Raya Heritage City will be an integral part of the Raya Urban Center Master Plan 2031, reflecting a blend of modern infrastructure and rich cultural heritage. The approval paves the way for the selection of a development company to implement the project, which is expected to significantly enhance tourism and local economy in the region.

Expected Impact

The establishment of Raya Heritage City is anticipated to:

  • Promote tourism by highlighting the cultural richness of the region.
  • Provide a modern living environment while preserving historical and cultural elements.
  • Foster economic growth and job creation through the development and subsequent tourism.
