New generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB India launch confirmed for October 9 .

The sixth-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class is set to make its debut in India in a long-wheelbase version, positioned as a direct competitor to the newly launched BMW 5 Series LWB. This luxurious sedan will feature both petrol and diesel engine options, available in two variants: E 200 and E 220d. The new model is 13mm longer and 14mm wider than its predecessor, with a wheelbase increase of 15mm for enhanced cabin space.

The new E-Class LWB is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivering 194 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, while the diesel variant offers 197 bhp and 400 Nm from a 2.0-litre engine. Both options are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission featuring a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

The exterior showcases a bold front with redesigned LED headlamps, a new S-Class-inspired grille, and sleek 3D LED taillights. Inside, the car boasts a “Superscreen” layout, including a 12.2-inch digital instrument console and a 14.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest MBUX interface.
