The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a groundbreaking new feature called the Multiple Journey QR Ticket (MJ QR) on Thursday, aimed at making commuting easier for regular passengers. This innovative technology allows commuters to use a single QR ticket for multiple journeys, eliminating the hassle of purchasing a ticket every day.
Key Highlights of the MJ QR Ticket:
- Launch Date: The facility was officially launched by DMRC’s Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Kumar, alongside other officials at Metro Bhawan.
- Usage: Passengers can start using this facility from Friday.
- Platform: The MJ QR ticket is available via the Delhi Sarathi (Momentum 2.0) app.

- Discounts:
- 10% discount during peak hours (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
- 20% discount during off-peak hours.
- No Security Deposit: Users are required to recharge their account starting with just ₹150, which can be used for future journeys. No security deposit is needed.
- Ease of Recharge:
- Users can recharge their MJ QR ticket through UPI, credit cards, or debit cards.
- The minimum recharge amount is ₹50, and the maximum is ₹3,000.
- Recharge can be done in multiples of ₹50.
Steps to Use the MJ QR Ticket:
- Registration: Commuters need to register on the Delhi Sarathi (Momentum 2.0) app.
- Recharge: Once registered, a minimum recharge of ₹150 is required to start using the MJ QR ticket.
