Today, a shocking incident took place in a government school in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where a 10th-grade student named Ayaan attacked his classmate Devaraj with a knife, injuring him. This incident has sparked outrage among Hindu organizations in the city.

In response, protests erupted, leading to vandalism and stone-pelting at a shopping mall. Several cars parked in a garage were also set on fire. Collector Arvind Poswal’s Statement

District Collector Arvind Poswal stated, “Agitated Hindu organizations forced the closure of shops in key areas like Chetak Circle, Ashwini Bazaar, Hathipol, Ghantaghar, and Bapu Bazaar. To ensure safety, additional police forces have been deployed. Meanwhile, the student responsible for the attack has been detained, and his father has been arrested.”

Collector Appeals for Calm

Addressing the media, Collector Arvind Poswal urged the public to remain calm and not fall prey to rumors. He said, “This unfortunate incident between two students has resulted in one being injured with a stab wound on his thigh.

The injured student has been admitted to the ICU of a hospital, and we are hopeful for his speedy recovery. I appeal to everyone to stay calm and not believe in any false information circulating.” Collector Poswal and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal are currently at MB Hospital, closely monitoring the situation.

Security Measures in Place

Given the tense situation, law enforcement agencies have heightened security across the city, particularly in areas affected by the protests. The imposition of Section 144, which prohibits the gathering of more than four people, is a preventive measure to avoid further escalation of violence.
