In a concerning development, the much-awaited Vande Bharat Express has been attacked even before its official inauguration.
For the past 20 days, the Vande Bharat Express has been stationed in the Chakradharpur Railway Station yard, where it has now suffered damage at the hands of miscreants. The train, which was in perfect condition upon arrival, now has shattered windows, creating a major concern for the authorities.

The incident occurred when unidentified individuals targeted the train’s windows, specifically Coach Number IR 241597, shattering them by throwing stones. The damage was noticed during a routine inspection, leaving the train in a damaged state just days before its scheduled inauguration.

Following the incident, the railway administration has ordered an investigation by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to identify and apprehend those responsible. Additionally, efforts are underway to replace the damaged windows, with the Rail Coach Factory being contacted to ensure repairs are completed before the train’s inaugural run.
