The agreement was signed on Friday during Jaishankar’s three-day official visit to the Maldives. Jaishankar emphasized that the launch of the digital payment system in the Maldives underscores New Delhi’s commitment to strengthening India-Maldives relations through the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). He reiterated that this initiative would pave the way for closer ties between the two nations. 🌐

🌟 Maldivian President Mohammed Muizzu praised India for its continuous support. President Muizzu stated that India has always been a close ally and a valuable partner. Whenever the Maldives needed assistance, New Delhi has provided all kinds of support. He made these remarks while addressing an online event celebrating the launch of water supply and sewage facilities across 28 island regions in the Maldives. 💧
