This Sunday, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will host the Tuffman Half Marathon. The event will feature three different races: 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers, and 21 kilometers. Approximately 5,000 participants are expected to join the race. With this in mind, the Traffic Police have advised avoiding the marathon routes from 6 AM to 9 AM on Sunday morning.
According to the Traffic Police, the marathon will start from Gate No. 1 of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and will continue through Bhishma Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Madarsa T-Point to Lodhi Road, Lodhi Flyover, Mathura Road, Chiragiyaghar, and then take a U-turn back to Lodhi Flyover, Lodhi Road, and Bhishma Pitamah Marg, finally ending at Gate No. 1 of the stadium.
During the marathon, some roads may be closed to vehicles while runners are passing through. In such cases, drivers will be directed to alternative routes.
Goods Vehicles Banned Due to Independence Day Rehearsals 🚛❌ – Due to the full dress rehearsal for Independence Day, the entry of goods vehicles into Delhi will be prohibited from 10 PM on August 2nd until 2 PM on August 13th. This restriction will also apply from 10 PM on August 14th until 2 PM on August 15th.
