Exciting news for the residents of Gubhana and surrounding villages in Haryana. The Delhi government has extended its bus services to Gubhana village, a long-standing demand of the local people. On Sunday, Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot flagged off a bus on the newly extended Route 848 to Gubhana, marking a significant improvement in connectivity for this region. Here’s what you need to know about this new development:
Bridging the Connectivity Gap 🌉
During a recent visit to Gubhana, Minister Gahlot heard firsthand from residents about the lack of proper transportation facilities comparable to those in Delhi. In response, the new bus service aims to bridge this connectivity gap and make daily commutes easier for the people of Gubhana and nearby areas.
Gahlot remarked, “The demand for better connectivity has been a long-standing request from the people here. With this new service, we hope to make things easier, especially for the women of Gubhana and surrounding villages.”
Benefits of the New Bus Service 🚍
- Extensive Reach: The extended Route 848 will serve multiple villages, including Gubhana, Majri, Luksar, Gangdwa, Goyla, Khedka, Deshalpur, Shahpur, Khungai, Jagratpur, Kharman, and Bupniya. This service will ease travel between these areas and Delhi, benefiting over 50,000 residents.
- Enhanced Accessibility: Previously, the last stop on Route 848 was Bakargarh in Delhi, located just 2 kilometers from Gubhana. The lack of public transportation made it difficult for residents to commute to Delhi. The new extension addresses this issue, providing much-needed connectivity.
- Electric AC Buses: The new service features low-floor electric AC buses, ensuring a comfortable and environmentally friendly travel experience. This initiative aligns with the Delhi government’s efforts to improve public transportation and reduce carbon emissions.
