Starting from Monday, the Delhi-Dehradun Highway will be completely closed until August 2nd due to the Kanwar Yatra. Both sides of the highway will be reserved exclusively for Kanwariyas. Increase in Pilgrims on Second Monday of Sawan
Officials have indicated that July 29th, the second Monday of Sawan, will see a significant increase in the number of Kanwariyas. The highway will remain closed until Friday for vehicles bringing water from Haridwar. A diversion plan for vehicles has been put in place to manage the increased number of pilgrims traveling from Delhi-NCR.
