Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started placing e-waste recycling boxes at various metro stations. On Friday, Vikas Kumar, the Managing Director of Delhi Metro, inaugurated one of these boxes at the Hauz Khas metro station.
Collaboration with Japanese Recycling Company 🌍
This initiative is in collaboration with a Japanese recycling company. According to Anuj Dayal, the chief spokesperson of DMRC, passengers can now dispose of items like old printers, ink bottles, and cartridges in these boxes. These items, which are often useless to people, can harm the environment if discarded improperly as e-waste.

The placement of these boxes not only facilitates the recycling of e-waste but also helps in protecting the environment. By recycling these items, DMRC aims to minimize environmental damage.

As of now, these e-waste recycling boxes have been installed at 15 interchange stations across the metro network.
