Another Sinkhole on Gurugram-Sohna Elevated Highway. Three-Foot Sinkhole Emerges Again
Gurugram-Sohna Elevated Highway faced another setback on Tuesday when a three-foot-wide sinkhole appeared near Raheja Mall, Sector-47. This is the second instance in two years since the highway’s inauguration.
School Bus Incident
In an alarming incident, a private school bus with 12 children on board became trapped in the sinkhole. Fortunately, all the children were safely rescued.
Traffic Restrictions
As a precaution, one lane of the highway has been closed to traffic. Authorities are investigating the cause, with early reports indicating that a main sewer line belonging to GMDA runs beneath the affected area.
