This semi-high-speed train recently underwent a trial run from Patna, passing through Varanasi and heading towards Lucknow, with a significant section of its journey covering the route from Varanasi to Ayodhya. This segment is remarkably quick, taking just 2.55 hours, making it the fastest connection between the two cities to date.
Key Highlights of the New Vande Bharat Express:
- Fastest Route: The train promises to be the quickest mode of transport from Varanasi (Kashi) to Ayodhya (Ramnagari), completing the journey in approximately 2.55 hours.
- Extended Journey: The entire trip from Varanasi to Lucknow will be covered in about 5.15 hours, offering a speedy alternative for travelers.
- Inauguration Expectations: There is anticipation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi might virtually flag off this train, with regular operations possibly starting from March 12.
- Patna to Lucknow Route: The train is scheduled to leave Patna at 6:05 AM, making stops at various stations before reaching Lucknow at 2:45 PM, totaling an 8.40-hour journey.
- Return Journey: On its return, the train departs from Lucknow at 3:20 PM, making its way back to Patna by 11:45 PM, after stopping at key stations including Ayodhya and Varanasi.
