Reliance Industries, in collaboration with Walt Disney, has announced a monumental $8.5 billion partnership, poised to transform the entertainment landscape. This alliance is notably spearheaded by Nita Ambani as the board chair, with Uday Shankar, a former Disney executive, serving as the vice-chair.
This partnership is set to enrich the content offerings on the JioCinema app, providing users with an array of new viewing options. The collaboration aligns with Reliance Jio’s initiative of offering prepaid ‘Entertainment plans’.
These plans, varying from 28 to 365 days in validity, bundle a complimentary Jio Cinema Premium subscription, alongside free calling and data benefits.

- Rs 4,498 Plan (365 days validity): Jio’s premium plan offers a year-long JioCinema Premium subscription, alongside other major OTT platforms like Prime Video Mobile, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, and more. It also includes unlimited calling, 2GB daily data, 100 SMS/day, with an additional 78GB of data.
