Delhi Metro passengers, rejoice! A new initiative is set to make your metro journey even more convenient. No more worrying about kitchen supplies or rushing to the market after work.
All your essential groceries will be available right at the metro stations. The National Cooperative Consumer Federation of India Limited (NCCF) is launching retail stores, starting with the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station on December 11. The grand inauguration will be officiated by Central Minister Ashwini Choubey.
🏬 What to Expect at the Retail Stores
The retail stores, under the pilot project, will offer a wide range of kitchen essentials, including flour, rice, pulses, sugar, onions, and more at affordable prices with subsidies. This pioneering store aims to provide commuters with the convenience of shopping for daily necessities immediately upon exiting the metro.
💰 Affordable Prices and Subsidies
These retail stores will not only cater to the daily grocery needs of commuters but also ensure affordability. With subsidies in place, commuters can expect to find all the essential items at reasonable prices, making it a win-win situation for all.
🚄 Expansion Plans
Following the launch at Rajiv Chowk, similar retail stores are planned for 18 other metro stations, ensuring that this convenience is accessible to a broader audience. This initiative is a step towards easing the tension of commuters returning home from work, providing a hassle-free shopping experience
