Traveling from India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can be an exciting experience, filled with the anticipation of exploring dazzling cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

However, before you pack your bags, it’s crucial to be aware of certain travel restrictions, especially concerning items you’re allowed to carry in your luggage.

Recent developments have highlighted a list of items that are prohibited on flights from India to the UAE, and it’s essential for travelers to take note of these to avoid any inconvenience during their journey.

In the past few months, there have been various reports and social media posts emphasizing the prohibition of specific items like ghee (clarified butter), pickles, oily food items, and more on flights departing from India to the UAE.

This information stemmed from an announcement by Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), which noted that items such as 943 dry coconuts were seized from passengers’ checked bags in May 2022 alone.
