- The Incident: Rohit Kumar, a Canadian resident, was returning from a wedding in Ghazipur with his wife Archana Singh and child. They boarded the Ghazipur City-Anand Vihar Suheldev Express and occupied cabin B of the AC coach HA-1.
- The Discovery: The family disembarked at Anand Vihar around 7:55 AM on Sunday but left behind a bag. Coach attendant Jaiprakash noticed the abandoned bag.
🤝 Prompt Action by Rail Staff:
- RPF Involvement: Jaiprakash handed over the bag to the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
- Identification of the Owner: Using the reservation list, RPF identified Rohit Kumar as the owner. Since the ticket was booked at Ghazipur City railway station’s counter, his mobile number wasn’t available online.

- Reaching Out: RPF retrieved Rohit’s number from Ghazipur City railway station and contacted him on Monday morning.
- Handover to the Brother: It was found that Rohit had already left for Canada with his family on Sunday night. He instructed his brother, Parameshwar, to retrieve the bag. Sub Inspector Rohit Singh handed over the bag to Parameshwar after verification.
