A group of boys were stabbed to death after a fight broke out at the Dussehra fair in Dwarka, Delhi. The incident occurred late on Tuesday night near the metro station, Sector-13, close to the Radisson Hotel. District Police Deputy Commissioner initially reported that only three boys were stabbed, but later clarified that five boys were involved in the attack.
The injured boys were rushed to the nearby Indira Gandhi Hospital, where one remains in critical condition. The police are using CCTV footage to identify the attackers and bring them to justice. The motive behind the fight is believed to be an old issue.
According to a witness named Deepak, the fight started between his friends Ankit and Lucky and some other individuals at the Dussehra fair. Later, everyone dispersed, but the clash resumed near the metro station late at night. The attackers, yet to be identified, stabbed Vicky, Ankit, Lucky, Pintu, and Sawan alias Chigga before fleeing the scene.
The Dwarka North police station has registered a case of attempt to murder and is actively investigating the incident. All the injured boys, except for one, have been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the attackers or the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
