Vasundhara Raje in BJP’s second list, Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot fielded by Congress in Rajasthan.

NEW DELHI: Both the BJP and Congress have released their respective lists of candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections. The lists include heavyweights such as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former CM Vasundhara Raje, and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot.

BJP’s Second List:
★The BJP has named 83 candidates for the November 25 election.
★Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will be fielded from her traditional Jhalrapatan seat.
★Narpat Singh Rajvi, the son-in-law of party stalwart Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, will be fielded from Chittorgarh.
★Vishwaraj Singh Mewar, a descendant of Maharana Pratap Singh, has been fielded from Nathdwara.
★Former state BJP president Satish Poonia will be fielded from Amber.
★BJP’s leader in the Rajasthan assembly, Rajendra Rathore, is also part of the second list.

Congress’ First List:
★The Congress has released its first list of 33 candidates.
★Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will be fielded from Sadarpura.
★Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot will be fielded from his traditional seat Tonk.
★Assembly speaker C P Joshi will be fielded from Nathdwara.
★State unit chief Govind Singh Dotasra will be fighting from Lachhmangarh.

The assembly elections in Rajasthan will be held in a single phase on November 25 and the results will be declared on December 3, along with those of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram. (With inputs from PTI)
