Case of Forced Rape of Two Bangladeshi Youth Comes to Light in Delhi

New Delhi. In Shakarpur, a case of forced rape of two Bangladeshi youth after befriending them through a gay-dating app has come to light. According to East Delhi’s Additional DCP Achin Garg, at 1 am on October 18, Shakarpur police station received information that two Bangladeshi citizens had been raped. When the police reached the spot, it was found that 22-year-old Bangladeshi boy A (fictitious name) lives with another 27-year-old boy from Bihar in Shakarpur area. The accused had earlier called a young man to the park with the intention of meeting them. There five boys took turns committing the crime.

Police Arrested Three Accused

In view of such incidents with Bangladeshi citizens, a team of 20 policemen was formed. The police examined the footage of about 50 CCTV cameras in the surrounding area and interrogated many people belonging to the LGBT community of the area. After this, three accused, 20-year-old Devashish Verma, 21-year-old Surjeet, and 20-year-old Aryan were caught. The search for the remaining accused is ongoing.
