The AQI was at 260 earlier on the weekend while the temperature was two degrees above the seasonal average.
Tremors felt in Delhi-NCR
Meanwhile, tremors were felt throughout Delhi-NCR Sunday afternoon as a 3.1 magnitude earthquake hit Faridabad at 4:08pm. According to the National Centre of Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was 9 km east of Faridabad.
Delhi LG writes to Haryana and Punjab CMs on crop residue burning
In other news, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena wrote to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Saturday, highlighting concerns about crop residue burning and the resulting pollution in the National Capital Region. He urged both CMs to “galvanize all available resources”, assuring them that Delhi was taking every step required to address the issue.
