A servant absconded with Rs 1 crore worth of jewelry in Karol Bagh.

A shocking incident took place in Karol Bagh area of New Delhi, where a servant fled from the house of a businesswoman with jewelry and cash worth Rs 1 crore. The victim had recently hired the accused for domestic work.

The victim, Ranjana Oberoi, a 50-year-old businesswoman involved in the property business, resides with her elderly father in a house on Pusa Road. In need of a servant, she hired a person named Rajesh Das, who presented an Aadhaar card showing his residency in Korba, Chhattisgarh. Rajesh was hired on September 25, just two days before the incident took place.

On September 27, Ranjana left her father and domestic help, Pratima, at home and went to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. When she returned home around six o’clock, she discovered Rajesh missing. The room’s cupboard was open and the lock was broken. Precious gold and diamond jewelry worth approximately Rs 1 crore and Rs 50,000 in cash were reported missing.

Police Informed

Upon realizing the theft, Ranjana immediately contacted the police and filed a complaint. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and are working towards identifying and apprehending the accused.
