New Delhi’s Railway Stations to Open Coach Restaurants

Northern Railway is set to open coach restaurants at four stations in Delhi, with a railway coach already reaching New Delhi railway station. The coach has been placed in the VIP parking area at Ajmeri Gate.

The railway coach will soon be transformed into a restaurant by the contractor and is expected to be operational by the end of October. Additionally, coach restaurants are also being planned near Old Delhi, Anand Vihar, and Sarojini Nagar stations.

The Railway Ministry has marked the locations and issued tenders for the project, which aims to replicate the concept of aircraft restaurants outside various stations. This initiative has led to the opening of coach restaurants at several railway stations across the country. In Delhi, preparations are underway to open coach restaurants at four railway stations, including New Delhi.

The decoration work for the coach is set to commence soon. According to railway sources, the coach has been placed at a designated spot near Ajmeri Gate at New Delhi Railway Station. Furthermore, the delivery of coaches outside other railway stations will also be carried out soon. Senior railway officials involved in the project anticipate that the coach restaurant at New Delhi Railway Station will commence operations by October, while the remaining three stations will have coach restaurants by the end of this year.
