NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday laid the foundation stone for various infrastructure development projects worth Rs 6,100 crore in Telangana. He also addressed a public meeting in Warangal after offering puja at the Bhadrakali temple.

Projects benefiting Telangana: The Prime Minister highlighted that projects launched by the Centre are benefitting Telangana’s industry, tourism, and are also generating employment for the youth. He mentioned that Telangana is becoming a hub connecting all neighboring economic corridors. The Prime Minister also noted the increasing interest of the world in investing in India.

Key attendees: Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union minister Nitin Gadkari, Union tourism minister and newly appointed president of BJP in Telangana G Kishan Reddy, BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and other leaders were present at the event.

CM KCR’s absence and corruption charges: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not attend the event, despite being informed about the Prime Minister’s visit. PM Modi criticized CM KCR, accusing him of pushing Telangana into corruption and stating that there is no project in Telangana without corruption charges.

Job creation and industrial development: BJP spokesperson Prakash Reddy highlighted that more than 3,000 people will gain employment through the projects launched in Warangal. He also mentioned that the projects will contribute to the industrial development of the region.

Upcoming projects in Rajasthan: The Prime Minister will travel to Rajasthan’s Bikaner from Telangana to dedicate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 24,300 crore. These projects include the Amritsar ★Jamnagar Economic Corridor, the Inter-State Transmission Line for Green Energy Corridor, and the redevelopment of Bikaner Railway station.

Four-state tour: PM Modi is on a four-state tour, which includes Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Rajasthan. Except for Uttar Pradesh, all the states are going to polls later this year.
