Temple and Mazaar Removed in Delhi’s Bhajanpura to Widen Road
– The Public Works Department (PWD) used bulldozers to remove a temple and mazaar located on the road in Bhajanpura, Delhi.
– The removal process started with the mazaar, which had been standing for over three decades, and then moved on to the temple.
– The area has been sealed with barricades and is under surveillance using drones to maintain peace.
– The encroachments are being removed as part of the construction of a double-decker flyover and widening of the road on Wazirabad Road.
– The officials state that the removal will benefit the people of the area by alleviating traffic congestion at Bhajanpura Chowk.
– The temple and mazaar were demolished using a JCB machine.
– The decision to remove both structures was made during a meeting of the Delhi Religious Committee.
– The reason behind the removal is the need to widen the road due to the ongoing construction of Saharanpur Highway.
– The entire process was carried out peacefully with cooperation from everyone involved.
