Rajasthan Government to Give Women a Fixed Amount to Buy Mobile Phones of Their Choice
In an attempt to woo the public ahead of the state’s assembly elections, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced that the government is considering giving a certain cash amount to women in lieu of smartphones under a scheme to be launched on Raksha Bandhan in August. In the budget 2021, CM Gehlot had announced to give smartphones to 1.35 crore women of Rajasthan. Some time ago, he has also talked about giving smartphones in a phased manner from Rakshabandhan on August 30 this year.
