Congress Accuses Delhi Education Minister of Misleading People in London

The Delhi Pradesh Congress has accused Education Minister Atishi of misleading people in London by extolling Delhi’s education model. The State Congress’s communication department chairman and former MLA Anil Bhardwaj said that the AAP government has not taken a single step towards improving the quality of education in government schools in nine years.

In a press conference at the party office, Bhardwaj said that the education system has deteriorated so much that out of 39,000 NEET exam takers, only 1,000 students from Delhi’s government schools passed, while 38,000 students were from private schools. The results show that the standard of education in government schools has dropped under the AAP government.

Bhardwaj also highlighted that the number of class 10 students in government schools has decreased by 13% compared to 2014, indicating a poor education model. Moreover, there has been a decrease of about 36,000 students in Class XII. The main reason for the declining results in 1,030 government schools is the shortage of 58% principals, 33-34% teachers, and 40-42% vice principals, according to Bhardwaj.

Despite promising to confirm 22,000 guest teachers in 2014, the Kejriwal government has not yet confirmed them. The education system in Delhi rests on their shoulders, and the government’s inaction is affecting the quality of education in government schools.

The Congress’s accusations against the Education Minister come at a time when the AAP government is promoting its education model in other countries. However, the results of the NEET exam show that the standard of education in government schools in Delhi has declined over the past nine years.

In conclusion, the Delhi Pradesh Congress has accused Education Minister Atishi of misleading people in London by extolling Delhi’s education model. The Congress has highlighted the declining standard of education in government schools under the AAP government, which is affecting students’ performance in various exams. The government must take immediate action to improve the quality of education in government schools to ensure that all students receive a good education.
