Congress copied AAP in the manifesto in Karnataka and Himachal, says AAP leader
A senior leader and cabinet minister of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Saurabh Bhardwaj, has claimed that the Indian National Congress has copied the AAP’s manifesto in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. Bhardwaj accused the country’s oldest party of stealing the ideas and manifesto of the country’s newest party. He also noted that Congress had earlier made fun of many decisions taken by AAP.
In a press conference on Thursday, Bhardwaj said that there is a daily discussion among the people about the Congress and its inability to emerge as a strong opposition party. He highlighted the problems in the Congress leadership and said that the party is not only short of leaders, but is also lacking in ideas.
With the Congress facing a leadership crisis, it remains to be seen if the party will be able to regain its footing in the upcoming state elections in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. The AAP, on the other hand, has been gaining ground in several states, including Delhi, where it has been in power for six years.
The copying of manifesto ideas is not a new phenomenon in Indian politics. Parties often borrow ideas from each other in an effort to win over voters. However, this latest accusation by the AAP suggests that the Congress is struggling to come up with its own ideas and is instead relying on the AAP’s success to win over voters.
As the election season heats up in India, it will be interesting to see how the political landscape changes and which party comes out on top. For now, the AAP is claiming a moral victory by accusing the Congress of copying its ideas.
