- The incident took place on Tuesday night when Tomar snatched a mobile phone from a street vendor’s son and fled in a car.
- Shukla and Vikas heard the commotion and started chasing Tomar while making noise, and were joined by the victim’s father.
- Tomar fired at Shukla and Vikas but missed, and continued running.
- However, the two men did not give up and caught Tomar about 250 meters away from the spot.
- The police recovered a pistol from Tomar and arrested him, while his accomplice, Akash Bhadana, is still at large.
- The accused are residents of Lakkadpur, Faridabad, and are known for earning a lot of money through rent.
South-East District Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dev said that the incident took place in the Okhla Industrial Area police station area. The police were informed about the incident by a PCR call and responded quickly. The accused had fired at the two men but missed, and the police arrested him soon after. The police are still searching for the other accused.
