Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami promotes millets by sowing Mandua in Siror village
On Sunday morning, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami sowed Mandua in Shiror village of Uttarkashi during his two-day tour. The government has given around Rs 73 crore to the State Millet Mission to encourage millet crops in the state. The government is also procuring coarse grains like Chaulai, Mandwa from the farmers of hilly areas on MSP, and online payment is also given to the farmers.

The CM’s efforts to promote millets are in line with the millet promotion campaign being propagated under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. The campaign has resulted in increased demand for millets not only in the country but also in foreign countries.
