UP Government Cancels Pending Traffic Challans from 2017 to 2021

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has recently announced the cancellation of all pending traffic challans issued between January 2017 and December 2021. This includes cases that are currently pending in various courts, irrespective of the type of vehicles.

Transport Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Singh has instructed all divisional transport officers to withdraw these challans from the portal after receiving the list of court cases. The cancellation of old pending challans is according to UP Ordinance No. 2 of June 2023 and paves the way for the waiver of crores of challans across UP.
