Sensex Closes with a Gain of 240 Points, Nifty up by 60 Points
The share market closed with a boom on June 5, 2023, as the Sensex closed at a level of 62787.47 points with a gain of about 240.36 points. On the other hand, the Nifty closed at a level of 18593.80 points with a gain of 59.70 points. A total of 3,840 companies were traded on BSE that day, out of which about 2,192 shares closed with gains and 1,473 shares with losses. There was no difference in the share price of 175 companies. On the other hand, 246 stocks closed at the upper level of 52 weeks, while 53 stocks closed at their 52-week low.

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra closed at Rs 1,395.40, up nearly Rs 54. Axis Bank shares closed at Rs 950.85, up nearly Rs 25. Shares of Tata Motors closed at Rs 546.25, up nearly Rs 10. Larsen’s scrip closed at Rs 2,268.30, up nearly Rs 34. Shares of Grasim closed at Rs 1,734.50, up nearly Rs 24. On the other hand, shares of Devi Labs closed at Rs 3,462.30, down nearly Rs 49. Tech Mahindra’s scrip closed at Rs 1,109.35, down nearly Rs 14. Shares of Asian Paint closed at Rs 3,199.75, down nearly Rs 38. Nestle shares closed at Rs 21,834.15, up nearly Rs 212. BPCL scrip closed at Rs 356.80, down nearly Rs 3.

The Sensex is an index of the Mumbai Stock Exchange (BSE) and was prepared in 1986 for the Mumbai Stock Exchange.
