DelhiDesk: India is set to launch another Vande Bharat train on May 29, which will run between New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal and Guwahati in Assam, covering a distance of 410 kilometers. The train will run six days a week and complete the journey in six hours, reducing the travel time by two hours. The train will have eight coaches, and there is no official information regarding the fare. The Vande Bharat Express service is currently running on 17 routes, and the government plans to launch three more formats of Vande Bharat trains by February-March next year, including Vande Chair Car, Vande Metro, and Vande Sleeper. These semi-high-speed trains are being manufactured at the coach manufacturing factory in Chennai and will replace Shatabdi, Rajdhani, and local trains.
