DelhiDesk State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that Rs 2,000 notes can be exchanged for new notes by visiting any of its branches without the need for any kind of documentation. SBI has even given exemptions that no forms need to be filled to exchange Rs 2,000 notes up to Rs 20,000. However, if you have a bank account, you can deposit any number of 2,000 rupee notes in it. The ban on the 2,000 rupee note has not yet been implemented and people can still use the note to purchase goods and services until September 30, 2023.
