Canara Bank led the purchases with Rs 592.82 crore, followed by Punjab National Bank (PNB) with Rs 164.57 crore. SBI came in fourth place with purchases worth Rs 158.22 crore. The GeM portal was launched in 2016 for online procurement of goods and services by all Ministries and Departments of the Central Government.
