A fire broke out in Delhi’s Kapashera area. 16 fire tenders are on the spot. It is said that the fire broke out in a godown of the Sonia Gandhi camp. There are no reports of any casualties yet.

Divisional Officer of Fire Department, Delhi, Satpal Bhardwaj said that 16 fire tenders reached the spot as soon as the information was received. It was a wood shop. Soon the fire will be extinguished. No casualty has been reported so far.

Earlier, two women and a child were pulled out safely after a fire broke out in a house in North West Delhi’s Rohini area.

The police gave this information on Thursday. A senior police officer said that at 12.55 pm on Wednesday, information was received that a house in Deep Vihar was on fire. Some people were trapped in the house. The fire broke out in the first floor of the house and smoke had engulfed the staircase and upper floors, the official said.

On receiving the information, Delhi Police mobile patrol vehicle personnel rushed to the spot and tried to douse the fire

The official said:

The policemen managed to rescue Rekha Srivastava (66), her daughter-in-law Nidhi Srivastava (26) and Nidhi’s one-and-a-half-year-old child from the third floor, the official said. By then two fire engines, an ambulance and the local police had also reached the spot.
