India’s Vande Bharat Express trains are now serving nearly all states, with more routes in the pipeline to connect even more cities and benefit millions of rail passengers across the country. Currently, preparations are underway for the launch of ten more Vande Bharat trains nationwide, one of which will run between Secunderabad and Pune, benefiting the South Central Railway. 🌟🛤️
Under the South Central Railway, there are already four Vande Bharat trains in operation. The introduction of more Vande Bharat trains is expected to be a boon for travelers of all categories. So far, 33 trains have been launched, connecting various cities and states across the nation.
According to Telangana Today, the new routes set to receive Vande Bharat Express trains include
- Varanasi-Lucknow,
- Patna-Jalpaiguri,
- Madgaon-Mangalore,
- Delhi-Amritsar,
- Indore-Surat,
- Mumbai-Kolhapur,
- Mumbai-Jalna,
- Pune-Vadodara, and
- Tatanagar-Varanasi. 🚆🌐
Notably, the Varanasi-New Delhi route witnessed the launch of the first Vande Bharat Express on February 15, 2019, providing significant benefits to lakhs of passengers along this route. It is now anticipated that Prime Minister Modi could launch another Vande Bharat Express on the same route. This would mark the second Vande Bharat Express to run between Delhi and Varanasi. 🇮🇳🚅

Exciting developments are also in store for Jammu and Kashmir, where Vande Bharat Express trains might soon make an appearance. According to ‘The Hindu,’ the Railway Board has allocated eight coaches for the Vande Bharat Express, connecting Udhampur to Baramulla via Srinagar, on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL).
It is believed that the Central government could announce the inauguration of this transformative Vande Bharat Express train to connect Kashmir before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The electrification of the entire line is complete, with some work remaining in tunnels, making rapid progress towards the launch. 🏔️🚝
